Reporting to the Director of Clinical and Business Intelligence, the Data Architect will develop and have ownership of the overall data architecture plan for the clinical and business intelligence group. As a technical expert, this position will also set the standard for technical support, data analysis/validation and design activities for the department.
To effectively fulfill this position, the candidate must meet the following requirements:
BS or BA Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or Mathematics. Master's degree preferred.
Minimum six years' experience in Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle SQL.
Six years' experience in BI and reporting, 2 years with Qlikview.
2 years QlikView data modeling experience.
Expertise and experience in data warehouse lifecycle methodologies and BI best practices.
Demonstrated knowledge of ETL (SSIS), OLAP (SSAS) and OLAP tools such as QlikView, Tableau, etc.
4+ years' experience with healthcare data, especially Epic Clarity / Cogito Data
Ability to translate business questions and requirements into BI query objects (views, OLAP cubes, warehouse objects, etc.).
Strong relational and dimensional data modeling and database design skills. Demonstrated strength in the ability to think logically and problem solve.
Knowledge of the medical field industry, terminology, HIPAA requirements and business processes.
Knowledge of BI and performance management tools.
Experience in leading and mentoring others in their technical skills development.
Exposure to LEAN or other continuous improvement methodology.
