The CA Scaled Analytics team is an organization that serves as a Center of Expertise across the CA organization. The Global Analytic Methodology Center (GAMC) team within Scaled Analytics provides global advanced analytics driven support for critical business decisions and is also responsible for framing long term analytic strategies that grow analytics impact. The team specializes in the areas of Resource Allocation, Marketing Mix optimization and patient data analytics and is more generally responsible for advanced analytics driven consulting to novel business problems. The Senior Manager, Advanced analytics is an advanced analytics generalist who leverages a broad suite of advanced analytics capabilities to solve established and novel business problems. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES • Develop and evolve analytic offerings that enhance commercial decision making across key functional areas including marketing mix and resource optimization, field force design • Solve unstructured business problems by designing and executing customized, novel and high priority analytical projects utilizing advanced analytical techniques • Partner with other CA teams to govern execution of regular and standardized deliverables such as ROI and field force sizing analyses • Provide a holistic perspective that commercial and CA teams can use to guide business decisions by synthesizing analytics results and trends across brands, portfolios, business units, and markets • Build and operate assets that support analytics democratization Leadership • Lead matrixed project teams to execute analytical projects leveraging advanced analytics Performance Measures • Client and Partner Feedback • Demonstrable increase in analytics impact - measured by increase in capacity, response time and business value driven by analytics BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Education: • Degree in analytics related areas including management science, business decision analysis, statistics/data science, economics, finance etc Experience: • 5+ years of strong analytics experience, with a preference for experience in the pharmaceutical industry Technical skills and competencies: • Strong conceptual and analytical thinking combined with the ability to effectively understand analytics needs and build effective solutions. • Experience with the application of statistics and data science techniques such as machine learning to solve business problems • Expertise in conducting analysis in open source analytical programming languages R and/or Python and in data manipulation using SQL • Knowledge, insight and understanding of the pharma health care space (physician-level prescribing, institutional sales data, payer-prescriber-level data, formulary data, patient-level data, etc.) • Ability to solve unstructured business problems by designing and executing analytical projects • Good communicator: Can understand, translate and distill complex, technical concepts to a layperson • Highly collaborative: Works effectively with others on matrixed teams; comfortable working in global environment and across time zones • Project Management Skills: Able to effectively manage time and resources for self and a small matrixed team of peers NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS • Expected to participate in meetings in NY HQ and global time zones as necessary
