Role Overview

We are seeking an Adobe Commerce Architect on behalf of this Digital Experience Company who thrives on innovation, collaboration, and delivering exceptional solutions. This person will be responsible for architecting solutions and providing technical oversight of the commerce development team, ensuring the highest quality solutions balancing the competing interests of engineering and the business.  The role will be responsible for ensuring code quality and supporting fellow developers and technical leads in delivering some of the most complex eCommerce projects.  This person will be leading and supporting a team of talented developers and leads to tackle important problems and resolve complex issues for some of the largest eCommerce companies on the Internet. Will be working in a distributed environment and must be able to be proactive and reach out to co-workers and clients on a regular basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and enforce awareness of key information security practices, including acceptable use of information assets, malware protection, and password security protocols
  • Identify, assess, and report security risks, focusing on how these risks impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets
  • Understand and evaluate how data is stored, processed, or transmitted, ensuring compliance with data privacy and protection standards (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
  • Ensure data protection measures are integrated throughout the information lifecycle to safeguard sensitive information

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 
  • Minimum of 5-7 years PHP, object-oriented programming, MVC applications, and web development experience
  • Minimum of 3 years real-world e-commerce experience with Adobe Commerce development in the last 2 years
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a Lead Developer or Architect.
  • Familiarity with the Agile development processes, including the use of coding standards and systems for version control, build, and regression testing. 
  • Skills: 
  • Experienced in Adobe Commerce code structure, extension architecture, theming hierarchy, and fallback components
  • Expertise in authoring and maintaining Adobe Commerce extensions.
  • Actively participated in scalable website and web application development
  • Hands-on experience with rich web front-end development frameworks and patterns – CSS, HTML, JavaScript, RWD, PWA, React, Angular
  • Advanced PHP and JavaScript
  • Proficient with Adobe Commerce APIs (REST, GraphQL)
  • Require minimal supervision and provide oversight for assigned projects
  • Adobe Commerce Developer/Developer Plus Certification
  • Other eCommerce platform experience (Hybris, Elastic path, Digital River) 
  • CMS experience (AEM, Drupal)
  • Architecture role experience
  • Soft Skills: 
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • The ideal candidate will have a 2- or 4-year degree in CS/Engineering, be a bootcamp grad, or be self-taught with practical experience
