Primary Duties

Work as a technical leader alongside the development and architecture teams, partnering closely with cloud security, infrastructure, DevOps, developers and Scrum teams.

Lead technical and design discussions with IT executives to help speed adoption of new technologies and practices

Architect and build highly scalable, cloud-native applications on Azure

Leverage new technology paradigms (e.g., serverless, containers, microservices)

Migrate and refactor monolithic applications to micro services architectures

Advise on implementing cloud best practices

Influence infrastructure architecture by sharing your application development expertise

Provide technical leadership and mentoring to developers

Drive automation and self-service throughout the Agile/DevOps development process

Ensure systems security and compliance with PCI, HIPAA, SOX, etc.

Work with vendors, consultants, and auditors related to our cloud infrastructure

 

Required:

6 + years of large scale software development or application engineering with recent coding experience in the following languages: C#, .NET

6+ Architecting, designing and developing applications on Azure Platform

API development and lifecycle management using Apigee

Microservices architecture design on one or more of the major cloud platforms

Experience operating in an Agile SCRUM environment

Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools, technologies and best practices

Designing and building application using container and serverless technologies

Experience architecting highly available systems that utilize load balancing, horizontal scalability and high availability

Good exposure to Agile software development and DevOps practices such as Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Continuous Integration and automated deployment

Continuous Integration (CI) tools (e.g. Jenkins)

Configuration Management platforms (e.g. Chef, Puppet, Salt, or Ansible)

Strong practical application development experience on Linux and Windows-based systems

Azure Solutions Architect or equivalent certification is desired
