This position is based out of Tempe, AZ. 
Job Summary:
As a senior cloud application architect/developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining cloud native applications that fully leverage the cloud computing platforms e.g., Amazon AWS. For applications to be fully optimized, they need to be architected to take advantage of the cloud computing platforms’ scale, elasticity, automation, and high-availability features.

Duties/Responsibilities:
· Design, develop, document, test, and debug new and existing software systems and applications
· Support, maintain, and document software functionality
· Serve as technical expert on development projects
· Collaborate with different geographically dispersed teams
· Formulate program specifications and basic prototypes.
· Transform software designs and specifications into high functioning code in the Java language
· Maintain and follow software quality assurance procedures.
· Attend Project / Status meetings
· Coordinate with other departments.
· Performs other related tasks as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Excellent analysis, problem-solving and organization skills.
· Knowledge of Object-Oriented software design concepts and implementations
· Self-motivated, with the ability to proactively take initiative and work independently or within a team environment.
· Strong problem solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
· Excellent verbal / written communication in English is a plus.
· Passion for work, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Education and Experience:
· BS/MS degree in Computer Science or relevant areas
· 8+ years in Java development skills (candidates with fewer years experience may apply to be considered for a non senior level role)
· Experience with secure programming techniques is highly desirable
· Experience in payment industry is a plus.
