Collaborate with the Director of Digital Engagement, Personalization & Programs and to develop the business strategy for personalization and see through those strategies across and the Dollar General App to increase engagement, adoption, and retention. This includes leveraging Dollar General’s first-party customer data and machine learning algorithms to personalize highly used digital tools and experiences, like the DG Digital Coupons and Offers Gallery, Ecommerce, myDG, and more.



  • Increase the number of new digitally engaged customers, monthly active users, digital sessions, session page views, and session duration inside and outside of Dollar General stores through personalization
  • Operationalize and be responsible for the testing, execution & analysis of personalization across digital tools and platforms. Be responsible for developing standard operating procedures for personalization across digital tools and platforms
  • Partner closely with the extended Digital Team to identify and execute opportunities within the online shopping experience for personalized recommendations, A/B testing, and MV testing. Align with their seasonal and commerce production calendar.
  • Partner with Marketing and supervisor to architect the customer journey from channel to platforms (focusing on the platforms), ensuring consistency in the personalization experience where possible. Also partner with Marketing to align platform/channel personalization that supports lifecycle marketing.
  • Develop and distribute weekly Digital Engagement Report, inclusive of top-line data and insights for website and app personalization performance, as well as A/B & MV testing result.



  • Demonstrated experience in managing personalization strategy and overseeing program digital analytics and analysis; including A/B testing, Multi-Variate Testing, recommendations, personalized content and offers
  • Demonstrated experience building audience segments and activating segments through the utilization of a CDP
  • Strong knowledge of the ecommerce space including competitive strategies, marketing strategies, product development, consumer research, usability best practices and industry trends
  • Experience driving engagement through a customer-facing app and knowledge of competitive strategies, product development, usability, and consumer research for apps
  • Proficient in Web Analytics (Google/Adobe Analytics)
  • Firebase experience desired
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills


  • 5-7 years of experience in personalization, digital merchandising, and/or digital marketing
  • Experience managing others
  • Bachelor’s degree required/Master’s or MBA Preferred
