Business Development Manager – Staffing (Miami–Fort Lauderdale Market | Remote)

Location: Remote (Must be based in South Florida)
Division: Staffing & Recruitment – Focus GTS

We’re looking for a South Florida rockstar in staffing sales, someone experienced, connected, and ready to dominate the Miami–Fort Lauderdale market. If you’re a natural relationship builder, deal closer, and thrive on winning new business, this is your opportunity to make a major impact with the flexibility of a remote role.

At Focus GTS, we’re expanding our presence in MarTech, AI, and IT staffing, and we need a powerhouse who can bring in new job requisitions, drive revenue, and help us become a local leader in the tech talent space.

 


 

What We’re Looking For:

An experienced business developer who knows the South Florida market and enjoys building genuine relationships with clients. You’ll have the autonomy to develop your own approach to opening doors, creating partnerships, and positioning Focus GTS as a trusted partner for MarTech, AI, and IT staffing needs.

This role gives you the freedom to work your way — whether that’s networking at industry events, leveraging your existing connections, creative outreach, or a combination of strategies that work for you.

What You’ll Do

Develop New Client Relationships

  • Identify and connect with companies across Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and South Florida who need MarTech, AI, and IT talent

  • Book meetings and build relationships through networking, referrals, events, and outreach strategies that fit your style

  • Take time to understand each client’s unique hiring challenges and business goals

Grow Revenue Through Partnership

  • Present Focus GTS as a strategic staffing partner who understands their needs

  • Work through proposals, MSAs, and contract negotiations to establish new client relationships

  • Turn initial job orders into long-term partnerships that benefit both sides

Be Our Local Presence

  • Represent Focus GTS at South Florida business events, tech meetups, and networking opportunities

  • Build authentic connections with HR leaders, hiring managers, and business owners in the community

  • Share your local market knowledge to help shape our growth strategy

Work Collaboratively

  • Partner with our internal recruiting team to deliver excellent service and quality placements

  • Keep your pipeline organized in our CRM so everyone stays aligned

  • Share insights about what you’re seeing in the market

 


What You Bring

  • 5–8 years of experience in staffing sales or business development — ideally within tech, IT, or professional services.

  • A proven track record of opening accounts and closing deals in a competitive market.

  • Strong relationships and deep knowledge of the South Florida business community.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

  • A self-starter mentality — proactive, ambitious, and driven by results.

  • A passion for connecting people, solving hiring challenges, and building lasting relationships.
