This position is under Laurie Coleman and Kelvin Xu. Kelvin is a Senior Architect for Firefly. Kelvin has an impressive background and strong Comp Sci degree’s:

Currently his role is a Forward Deployed Engineering Architect. He works on NDCU as a project and they bought firefly and also have QUEST as a partner that owns the platform leveraging firefly and photoshop and their “assets at scale” and automation. 
Currently Kelvin is the only one on client side and also working closely wiht dev team. he is the key contributor to adobe tech for firefly so far. 
SO- the key request:

Bring on a high level Developer/Engineer:
-This person will balance Kelvin’s hours. kelvin is over capacity and cannot take on more accounts.
-Needs to pick up things quickly. Fast learning.
-Self motivated.
-Firefly knowledge IDEAL. However if they have experience with GenerativeAI in general that is helpful. (firefly includes Photoshop API’s and so this person should understand those types fo capabilities within Firefly).  Cropping and smart algorithms, image cropping
-PYTHON is the main language
-PYthon image library called PILLOW.
-THIS PERSON WILL BE all back end, hands on keyboard side. WILL NOT BE CUSTOMER FACING. 
-WHEN IT COMES TO image manipulation and creating python through pillow it’self- if they don’t have that exact experience he just needs to know they have similar understanding of HOW THAT WORKS.
-FIREFLY services does a ton of re sizing images. For instance the design team released a new theme for images with a certain bit size, and the firefly platform should use pillow library to cut that image into different sizes immediately into other sized for all all social platforms. THE CUTTING INTO THE SIZE IS THE KEY*** HOW does your algorithm detect the focal point to then determine focal point and how to properly cut image into other sizes. 

**If this person knows openAI or Chatgopt or googleAI and has experience on the dev side with those then that’s great. 
*8Vision Language Model (VLM) experience would be HUGE PLUS.

*No travel
*Anywhere, nationwide is fine. (Manager is in PST).

-8+ years of development skills minimum
*This is a high level Developer Consultant, who will be taking on a lot of work that currently Kelvin is doing technically. 
*The standards are high. Think about high level devs we’ve had like a John Dorrance type or others. 
*This person should be strong customer facing as well, so soft skills are important and then of course technically speaking they need to be incredible. 
*This must be a solid Python developer who knows and has worked with image processing, manipulation, vision model, etc. , Image Processing & Computer Vision.

SENIOR FULL STACK DEVELOPER (Backend Python focus)
T?his is the technical skill requirements. mainly a full stack developer (frontend is secondary though) who knows image processing, manipulation, vision model, etc.
Image Processing & Computer Vision

• Advanced Image Manipulation – Complex cropping, resizing, PSD/layer processing, coordinate system mathematics
• Computer Vision Algorithms – Smart cropping logic, optimization algorithms, mathematical problem solving
• Creative File Formats – Design file processing, metadata extraction, format conversion expertise

Backend & Architecture

• Advanced Python Development – Modern frameworks, async patterns, production experience
• Microservices Architecture – Service communication, queue-based systems, distributed design
• API Development – RESTful services, real-time data handling, file upload/processing workflows

Adobe Firefly & Creative Technology

• Adobe API Integration – Experience with any Adobe Creative Cloud APIs or similar creative tool ecosystems
• AI Image Services – Integration with generative AI tools (Firefly Services, Midjourney, etc.)
• Creative Workflow Understanding – Design tools, Photoshop automation, creative file processing

Cloud & Infrastructure

• AWS Serverless Ecosystem – Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, S3 at production scale
• Container Orchestration – Docker, cross-platform deployment, microservice containerization
• Infrastructure as Code – Terraform or similar for reproducible deployments

Frontend & User Experience (Secondary)
